Janet Kinney, MD, FAAP
Dr. Kinney is a graduate of Duke University School of Medicine, and has practiced neonatology and pediatrics for about 30 years. Dr. Kinney is IBCLC certified and has been involved with breastfeeding research and education on a nationwide level. Newborn infants and their moms are her specialty. She feels that more emphasis on education during these early days would help with better outcomes such as successful breastfeeding and less re-admissions to the hospital. Janet is a mother of two boys, wife to a wonderful man, and caretaker to three dogs.
Kay Willis, RN, IBCLC
Kay has worked as a nurse in women and children's services for over 20 years. These experiences helped develop her belief that women were better prepared for pregnancy, labor and delivery, and postpartum when they knew what to expect. She's a born teacher and has now changed the focus of her career to childbirth and lactation education. She is a certified childbirth educator, as well as a certified lactation consultant. Kay owns her own business, The Nesting Place, where she teaches classes and has a clinic for lactation consultations. Kay has a great reputation and parent referrals come from 17 obstetricians and pediatricians in the DFW area. Kay is a wife to a retired Air Force Sgt., whom she has followed around the world. She is also a mom and a new grandma.

Here's what a local doctor has to say about Kay: “I have known Kay Willis RN, IBCLC for more than 6 years now through Baylor Grapevine Hospital, where she worked in Labor and Delivery, Charge Nurse and House Supervisor. As an OB-Gyn, I was looking for childbirth instruction that was more in line with our actual hospital practice. When Kay began private perinatal education services through The Nesting Place we immediately began utilizing & recommending her. I was delighted knowing that she had many years experience as an educator as well as in women's services. As a physician, I am pleased to recommend The Nesting Place for anyone in the metroplex.” ~ Dr. Cope, Grapevine, TX

What patients have to say: Dr. Kinney took care of my preemie twins in the hospital for the first two months of their life. She took excellent care of my babies. Her very straightforward, yet caring and sensitive approach was exactly what we needed as new parents. She was always there when we needed her. ~ Lisa B. Our triplets were well cared for Christmas 2002 by you and the wonderful staff of nurses at Baylor Grapevine--you need to see these healthy 7 yr. olds now! ~Susan S.
